◎Specification focus
Confirm citrus species, oil type, extraction or fractionation method, aroma profile, color, specific gravity, refractive index, optical rotation, terpene or d-limonene content, purity, origin and required certifications. Exact parameters depend on the individual oil.
▣Packaging & storage
Compatible cans, pails and lined drums are typical. Citrus oils are commonly protected from excessive heat, light and air exposure to help preserve aroma and limit oxidation; exact packaging, storage temperature and shelf life should follow the supplier specification.
↗Industrial applications
Cold-pressed and essential oils are widely used in beverage flavors, confectionery, bakery, dairy, sauces, flavor systems, fragrances and personal-care formulations. Terpene and d-limonene fractions may also be used in flavor processing, fragrance systems, cleaners, degreasers and other industrial formulations where suitable.
